Merry Christmas for our Four Legged Friends !

Even if I'm not baking as many cookies this year I just can't forgo the traditional "Lacy Lu's Dog Biscuits" !
I can't even count the number of years I have baked dog biscuits for almost every dog I know!
We are a family and extended family of dog owners . . . Lacy Lu, Fritz, Puck, Lena, Jackie, Barley, Sammy, Brody, Sydney, Dallas & Lilly to name just a few !

You can see why I'd be in big trouble if I ever forgot!

If you'd like to start your own biscuit baking tradition here is Lacy's favorite recipe!

Lacy Lu's Garlic Cookies !

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup yellow or white cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 large egg
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chicken broth

Mix dry ingredients, add, egg, oil and broth to make a nice dough.
Roll out 1/8 - 1/4 " thick and cut with cookie cutters.
Bake on an un-greased cookie sheet at 325 degrees 20-40 minutes until dry and hard.
Turn over half way thru baking.
Let sit out overnight to dry completely.
(Of course you can substitute broth to beef or even vegetable !)

Yum !!!

Hi Lori Ann, Merry Christmas, these look delicious, I will have to give them a try. I usually do bacon ones but I think they are too rich for the poor puppies. I am so glad you are having a lovely holiday, hope it is filled with lots of love and laughter!!!
Hugs,

What a wonderful dog! When I had Willa, I would make treats for her ... I would include anything that looked good from the fridge ... shredded carrots, last night's leftovers, an apple, garlic, etc. I just ground them up in the food processor and added them to the mix.
