A little inspiration . . .

There are so many things that inspire me , from antiques and vintage toys to sweet young animals and story books.  This time of year in addition to these things I love searching through my vintage post cards . .  of chiw I have too many!  Well . . .  can you EVER have TOO many ??

Here is a sampling of my favorites . . . may the inspire you too!

Have you any wool ?

Yes sir, Yes sir . . .  3 bags full!!

This meadow of which I speak is a truly magical one . . .  A place where long ago fairy tales and nursery rhymes were first dreamt about, then written down on fine paper to be shared by all generations.  Each and every gentle creature as well as any character ever written about in those storybooks lives peacefully here or in the forest next door. Whether the story was sweet or not so . . . . in the meadow, all is peaceful.

Little Miss Kitten . . .

Now . . . Miss kitten has gone and gussied herself up in anticipation of the arrival of her new little friends to the meadow. She is ever so proud of her new Sunday bonnet and fine pink bow!

Kitten fancies herself a very motherly type, tho kittens can have a reputation for chasing and taunting young birds . . . there will be "none of that", in her meadow! 

No matter their many differences, every creature here is respectful , and always plays well  with others. 

The big day is coming . . . . Meow

  Little Miss Rabbit, with her keen hearing has just overheard some wonderful chatter!   

  New friends are coming to live in the meadow! 

Talk is that there will be sweet baby peeps and new born lambs and possibly . .  just possibly . . . some other gentle creatures.

   Oh how fun it will be to have children in the neighborhood once again! 

   All the meadows creatures are busily preparing for the April 2nd. arrival!  Much to do . . . . much to do . . . . 

Oh the excitement!!

Oh how wonderful it is to make a new friend . . . tho nothing could ever take away from a cherished friendship of many years!  "Make new friends...but keep the old", (Sounds like a Girl Scout song doesn't it ?

So . . .  meet my new "Peeps" (aka friends) !  Just learning to balance their tiny chicky butts over their little wire feet.  They are all a-chirpy, telling secrets and pecking 'round the yard now that spring is coming.

Watch for them as well as other new spring friends on the next web show, April 2nd. at 8pm EST.

Now . . go out an make a new friend!

Two Fun Web Shows !

There are TWO web shows coming up very soon!

I'll make a separate post for each . . . but here are the dates!

"The Best We Can Do" will have our first 2009 web show on Sunday , March 8th. at 8pm Eastern time.

Then . . . I will have a small "St. Patrick's day show on Monday, March 9th. ! No . . . I'm not Irish, but I am a sucker for any fun theme or "holiday" to stir the creative juices!
