Christmas for our four legged friends . . .

Well...again this is a bit of a "re-post" from last year, but today was dog biscuit baking day!
So, just incase you missed the recipe last year, here is the post again!
Lacy Lu loves to help, and she is great at quality control!!

* * * * * * * *

Even if I'm not baking as many cookies this year I just can't forgo the traditional "Lacy Lu's Dog Biscuits" !
I can't even count the number of years I have baked dog biscuits for almost every dog I know!
We are a family and extended family of dog owners . . . Lacy Lu, Fritz, Puck, Lena, Barley, Henri, Popcorn, Sydney, Dallas & Lilly to name just a few !

You can see why I'd be in big trouble if I ever forgot!

If you'd like to start your own biscuit baking tradition here is Lacy's favorite recipe!

Lacy Lu's Garlic Cookies !

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup yellow or white cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 large egg
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chicken broth

Mix dry ingredients, add, egg, oil and broth to make a nice dough.
Roll out 1/8 - 1/4 " thick and cut with cookie cutters.
Bake on an un-greased cookie sheet at 325 degrees 20-40 minutes until dry and hard.
Turn over half way thru baking.
Let sit out overnight to dry completely.
(Of course you can substitute broth to beef or even vegetable !)

Yum !!!

Lori Ann,
I am sure the puppies are thrilled, as well as the people that receive the cookies!!!! I think my list of dogs is as long as the cookie one!!!!
Merry Christmas and many blessings for you in the New Year.....
Hugs,
Margaret B

Lori Ann & Lacy Lu - thank you for your doggie bisquit recipe!! I have always wondered if it was possible to make them since they are so expensive to buy!! Hope your Christmas was full of family, four-legged friends and joy!! Kris

Lori Ann & Lacy Lu, thank you so much for sharing your special recipe! I made some for my three "grandpuppies", the oldest going on 12, and they all LOVED these treats!

Now my daughter has asked me to bake some for some of their friends, who also share their homes with canine furbabies. :-)

Wishing you a New Year filled with love & laughter!
