Antiquing fun . . .

A couple of weeks ago we loaded Lacy Lu in the car and headed out
on a little antiquing adventure.
I wish I had taken more photos  . . .
but when I'm thinking "antiques" I tend to forget everything else!
Our first stop on Friday was Lebanon, Ohio
Miller's Antiques is my favorite shop !
I never leave empty handed.
For lunch the Tavern in The Golden Lamb never disappoints.
From there we headed to Wilmington , Ohio, we checked into the pet friendly
Holiday Inn in anticipation of Saturday morning's
We ran into some antique dealer friends and enjoyed a lovely dinner and some catching up,
then early to bed!   -  A girl needs her rest to antique her best!
Ohio Country is a lovely show . . .  many of the country's best dealers
set up at this twice yearly show.
Once again . .  I came away with some fun things including
a great old bear!
After the show we ventured into Wilmington proper to have lunch at "The General Denver"  - yet another historic Ohio hotel!  Then we headed to Waynesville, Ohio.
Home of Old Glory , Village Antiques and for beautiful reproduction
If I had deeper pockets we would have loaded up the car, but I was looking for peg racks for
the laundry room and found the perfect ones!
We took Lacy for a nice walk on a lovely fall day . . .  in this area of Ohio
the colors were still quite pretty and the air fall brisk!
Up and at it Sunday morning we headed to Tipp City.
If you have never been to "Tipp" put it on your list right now!
This is the sweetest town with an uptown that still supports antique shops and small businesses!
Our first stop was for a cup of coffee at Grounds for Pleasure.
Then  . . .  be still my heart . . . it was time to head to Patriot Antiques
to pick up a blanket chest I'd had on layaway!
Patriot is one of my all time favorite antique shops . . .  very sweet and just 5 dealers, but each one of them has such an eye for perfect early pieces, they are all so nice and very knowledgeable!
(I did remember to take a few photos !)
Once loaded we went for another walk, Tipp has a bike trail along an old canal line, you can still
see some of the locks down at the entrance.  What a beautiful Fall day!
On our way home we swung by Springfield , Ohio . . . a little late for the flea market, but
popped into one of the antique malls and as usual walked out with a couple bits and bobs.
Finally we headed home . . .  and the good part? It was only about a 75 minute drive.
In no time during this whole trip were we more than about 2 hours from home !
Whew . . .  did this all make you tired?
It did me!!  And . . . Bless you dear husband (Saint Michael ;-)
for putting up with my crazy antiquing adventures!

Enjoy a few pics!
Lacy checking her email at the hotel :-)

...Oh Lori Ann, this sounds like the most perfect trip! You lucky, lucky girl and "Saint" Michael indeed! ;o)

...Dare I say, more than I adore your antique blanket chest is the photo of Lacy checking her emails - so sweet. :o)

...I've often wondered if you owned any early teddy bears, this one is a fine addition to any collection.

...Thank you for letting us tag along and Patriot Antiques will be on my "must stop" list if ever in Ohio. :o)

...Blessings
