The Studio ... Day 5

The studio is painted!
I might not be the swiftest painter, but I get the job done.
It has taken me all day and I am happy with the results.  There were a few moments
that I was afraid I'd chosen too dark a color, but as I sit here I feel nothing but peace and that's good!
This color will looks much lighter come morning as these photos were taken after dark.
Even tho the big pieces are not firmly set into place I could not resist bringing in
a few of my favorite bits.  Tomorrow, after the outlet covers are back on and curtains re-hung, we'll move the furniture into place, then "real" work will begins!
I'm set on going through every bin, every jar, every box of "stuff"!
Only what I truly need or that which inspires is allowed back in!
(I will admit tho . . .  lots of stuff "inspires" me :-)
The new wall color is a warm sandy shade . .  it's aptly called Sierra Sand.
This photo looks a little "cooler" . . .  but shows the contrast between wall color and
the sewing pantry :-)
PS:  That 5 day target?  Well, we got the biggest things accomplished, and I'm
happy about that!
I can at least begin sewing again ~ while I sort.
Deadlines are made to be broken ... right?

Be inspired!

Organizing a studio is such a big job!!! I'm constantly sorting thru my items. Like the paint color, Laura

You do inspire me Lori Ann, I went out to Ikea today and bought some boxes that match to keep some of my things in, even though the paint job will have to stay the same.
Enjoy your room.

That is a lovely peaceful color. Enjoy the sorting--I always do, but it's hard to be as ruthless as you need when each bit brings up such creative ideas!

I LOVE deadlines ~ especially the sound they make as they go rushing past ~

Thank you everyone . . . I can't wait to get to the arranging today! Kay . . . I'm so happy to have inspired you . . . but don't blame me if your project gets out of control . . ha ha! :-)
On deadlines . . . I think I more consider them something to work towards ;-) Just a little something to put me in the right direction! Lest I wander in circles!

Have a happy day all . . love the comments!
