Making headway . . .

Today I began moving things back into the studio.
The shelves are filling up much faster than the guest rooms are emptying.
How many buttons does one need? Colors of ribbon?
Bits and baubles? Old watches, glasses, pieces of wool, little petticoats,
tiny shoes, wooly mittens, baskets, boxes, tins, threads, wooden shoes, picture frames
and . . . pairs of scissors?
I guess the answer lies in not knowing what inspiration will lead you to need
one or all of these things.
So . . .  I'll find a place ~ a place for all these little bits, because I just might
need them one day!
"Needles and pins, needles and pins . . .  when a man marries, his trouble begins"
(A early Nursery rhyme ~ After this week, my husband might agree ;-)

I won't pester you with anymore photos until I'm
fully set up and stitching . . . soon I hope!
Happy Stitches,
Lori Ann

Fantastic. It looks as though you are ready to roll. I'm afraid I must be a hoarder because I have far more stuff to store that that. I wish I could cull it down a bit more. How I though out very old antique lace and buttons I have been given. Or threads of different colours that may be I might want. The list goes on.
HUgs and happy sewing.

Oh Kay . . . this is not all there is by any means :-)
After I fill this closet, there are 2 large cupboards, then a linen closet and antique cupboard at the end of the hall. Next an old cupboard in one guest room and both guest rooms closets! ha ha . . . AND a basement! My sewing room is actually not large, it was a guest room. I love the morning light, but have to shift things in and out seasonally. I'm sure you are not a hoarder in my eyes!

I also have been enjoying the pictures and the process of reorganizing. I am mostly a rug hooker and have one closet full of wool clothes waiting to be dyed or repurposed. Of course that's not all the wool. Your pictures are inspiring me to do some work playing in my work room.

I feel so refreshed hearing that you have other cupboards that you fill as well. I was thinking I must have way too much STUFF. You know the "One day" saying.
