A big part of getting ready for a show is booth or table display.
In the past I would cart along so many props that after loading the car at
the end of the day you couldn't tell whether the show as good or bad.
The car was still full!
I still love using some of our fun antiques to display on, but have been wanting to create
some lighter, more compact pieces as well.
Here is what I did on my stitching breaks!
Comb painting! I'm loving this technique!! I painted paper mache boxes that nest inside one another . . . perfect for risers! And a wooden bowl for goodies! |
My husband crafted this great shelf . . . it breaks down flat for packing! Perfect! Of course I went a little crazy painting it too! |
Another wooden bowl . . . I might just start painting anything that doesn't move! |
These 2 great shows are coming up!
If you are in the area of either one I'd love to see you!

I love your new show props.
They are so necessary and you have come up with some beautiful solutions.
I especially like the shelf that can break down flat ! Perfect.

I would love to see a photo of your stall when you are all set up. The painted boxes and shelves look great. The comb method is very effective.

Love it - I've never really seen comb painting before - heard of it, but not seen it. You have done a beautiful job with all of this, and I think your booth must look fabulous when you fill it with all your beautiful handiwork...
My husband has recently discovered carpentry and is loving it!
Wonderful! Especially the shelf.
Lori Ann I love the shelf and your boxes!
The boxes will be awesome for height, and the great part is you can change up their stacking as you go. Wonderful!
I have the very same problem. It seems like the smaller the items , them more displays are needed !
Hope you have wonderful shows!
