I have a little tradition each year when my birthday comes around.
I hold a giveaway here on the site.
I'm not a "big celebration, pomp and circumstance" kinda girl.
I am quite grateful just to have another day, a year, or a decade to dig in the dirt,
stitch in the studio and spend time with those I love.
Now getting older isn't easy, new aches and pains surface daily,
there is confusion when the person you see in the mirror isn't the one you thought
and losses of many kinds will hurt your heart.
But . . . live your life with a happy attitude and each day will present you
with gifts !

Your mousepincushion is absolutely adorable, I've been collecting mice for a great many years now. This one will look lovely on my sewingtable.
